DELUHI is a Japanese visual kei band, formed when Leda recruited Juri as a vocalist. Leda was previously in the band Galneryus, going by the name Yu-To. Formed January 2008 by Juri (voc), Leda (guitar), Aggy (bass) and Sujk (drums), the band immediately started recording materials composed by Leda, the mainsongwriter.
Finishing their first mini album SURVEILLANCE around mid-February, they finally made their long awaited live debut on February 29th. Performing around venues in Tokyo and achieving explosive growth as a band, their debut album SURVEILLANCE was released on March 26th. With the 5 songs of the album, the band reached instant recognition as the up-and-coming band within the visual rock scene.
Speeding up their activities, the band quickly released their 1st single ORION ONCE AGAIN on July 23rd. The single becoming an anthem at once, their popularity reached even higher levels.
Releasing the singles trilogy VISVASRIT (October 29th), MAHADEVA (November 26th), and JAGANNATH (December 31st) on a monthly basis, they are marching on to the frontline of the scene. The latest visual rock at its finest is about to sprout.
Their headliner show at Tokyo held on January 8th 2009 was an immediate sellout,
DELUHI was featured on the American TV show Bento Beatbox on the Anime Network on April 15, 2009. In May 2009, DELUHI was included on the compilation album J-Visual[ism] 2, released by the European label CLJ Records. In late 2009, Deluhi shared a national tour of Japan with Matenrou Opera.
The band announced that they will take a hiatus starting on 1 December 2010, following the completion of their concert at Shibuya O-East. On April 1st 2011 the band announced to be disbanding after their last tour in July the same year.
